Directorate of Informatics

 

IT Department provides a contemporary IT and communication structure. Within this department, there is one IT Centre and ten Computer Labs. These units are backed up by 6 servers, and 280 Pentium III-IV computers based on processing systems, network and hardware like; projectors, printers and scanners. In these labs, along with applications, there are also research and development activities. In addition to this, both students and professors are given to opportunity to have free access to the internet.
 
 
Our Services
  • Technical support and network services for whole university hardware devices.
  • Setting up intranet systems, processing and administrating e-mail services.
  • Providing computer services according to training and research.
  • Fullfilling students’ education and research needs and giving the necessary support for software and technical issues.
  • Giving support to academics, and administrative personnel for their hardware and software use.
  • Depending on the needs; setting up and implementing server/client systems.
  • Supporting the problems of the units related to the computer programmes, running the software in network, preparing network projects.
  • Consultancy for the units which are both on and off campus and preparing contractors.
  • Preparing powerpoint presentations to help publicity of our university and helping publish the school newspaper.
