The Faculty of Science and Letters is one of the main bodies of our university and is comprised of two departments: Psychology and Mathematics. The main objective of the faculty is to serve our country and its people with the belief that only Mankind, which constitutes the culture, can make the world meaningful.  We believe that it is our duty to help raise the cultural and educational level of the students by creating a cultural awareness as the first phase of their education and training.

In all behaviour centered research, education and curricular activities of the faculty, the humanitarian approach is applied.  In order to fulfill the need for basic and cultural studies, our Faculty assists other faculties of the university; moreover, considering this responsibility among its duties.

Principles of Education

Our Faculty aims to ensure that our students can become modern citizens who have internalized critical and creative thinking as a necessity of the contemporary world.  This includes handling happenings in associations, in the reason–result format, respecting humanity above all other concerns and combining professional knowledge with a humanitarian attitude – thus forming the prominent characteristics of a well-informed individual.
