Dear Students,

I would like you to know that I keep a close watch on all the developments and precautions to be taken regarding coronavirus (COVID 2019).

We all know that the most prominent feature of today's world is the increasing human mobility. As individuals of the global world, each of us is constantly in contact with many different people, whether or not it is mandatory.

Nowadays, it seems very important for us to continue our daily lives, provided that we take our precautions personally and institutionally, which should always be the case.

Currently, as the administrators of our University, me and all my colleagues are struggling to ensure that your education will not delay, and we are sure that we will be successful on this subject.

The necessary explanations on the subject were made and a very successful informative meeting was organized today. Our sensitivity on this matter will continue without any cease.

Our education at all levels, namely at associate, undergraduate and graduate levels, continues successfully. We have completed our preparations against any negative situation. We gave hints of this in the previous announcement.

Also, the Presidency of the Higher Education Council has been following the issue carefully and providing necessary information.

I would like you to know that we are trying to preserve your rights to have education deliberately and in a healthy environment.

In the recent days, we are consistently meeting with the Student Council and my colleagues and discussing the precautions we have already taken and others to be taken.

In such crisis situations, our common ground is to think together in order to solve the crises with strong communication and strong cooperation.

It is very important to share your ideas with me and my colleagues in order to successfully manage these challenging days. It is a common goal for all of us to produce common solutions in crisis times as well as good times, and to create a culture of living through the crisis.

I would like to point out that, hoping to lessen your concerns a little, no attendance records will be made until the evening of March 20, 2020.

I wish you all success.

Best Regards,

Prof. Dr. Şahin KARASAR
