Aims and Objectives
Learning the basic concepts of computers including software and hardware. On a basic level, being able to create documents and spreadsheets. Helping new users in utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel efficiently.
Course Content
Learning about the basic concepts of computers including internet and internet services, computer hardware: system unit, input/output devices, storage, computer software: system software and application software, computer communication and networks, database systems, development of information systems, application of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Course Assessment
Midterm: 25% (written exam) + 15%(lab applications)
Final: 35% (written exam) + 25% (lab applications)

Aims and Objectives
Advanced computer applications for presentation preparation, database creation, internet applications, web-page creation, storage and computer security related isssues in detail.
Course Content
Presentation program features and applications, communication among computers, internet access and features, e-mail usage, database processing, web page design and publishing application software to use. Anti-virus and security software installation and adjustment. Data backup and protection.
Course Assessment
Midterm: 25% (written exam) + 15%(lab applications)
Final: 35% (written exam) + 25% (lab applications)
