GENERAL EDUCATION COURSES

The General Education Courses offered to students in the 2019-2020 Fall Semester at our

university aim to enable students to gain a multidisciplinary perspective by touching different

disciplines other than undergraduate fields. These courses support the training of young

people who are interested in artistic, cultural and social issues, who understand the importance

of multi-dimensional thinking, and who are conscious of social responsibility. Courses are

designed to raise awareness of interdisciplinary life.

The necessity of an interdisciplinary understanding and the inseparable integrity of human

and life are emphasized at the 2023 Education Vision of the Ministry of National Education

by quoting one of the famous writers of Turkish literature Nurullah Ataç’s words; “Is life

divided into subjects? Science on the one hand, arts on the other, and morality on the

other.....” We believe that the General Education Courses that set out with this understanding

will be beneficial to all our students, and we wish success to our young, architects of our

future.
