With the decision of 27 February 2019 dated 75850160-104.01.03.01-E.17223, the Master Program of Pre-School Education was approved by the Council of Higher Education to start in 2019-2020 academic year.

The Program for Pre-School Education adopts the purpose of providing environment and support to improve the area of ​​expertise of the educators by deepening and increasing their knowledge in the field. In addition, it is aimed that educators develop responsive and collaborative studies, collaborative projects with NGOs and thus explore ways of coping with the problems encountered.

In order to obtain a Master's degree, students are required to take undergraduate courses required by “T.C. Maltepe University Graduate Education and Exam Regulations” and their advisor, and complete 21 credits and non-credit “Graduate Seminar” course. All of the students must be successful in the “Graduate Seminar” and “Research Methods” courses in order to proceed the thesis phase. The thesis phase is completed in at least 2 semesters.

Graduate students who are not from the field can be suggested to take two courses as scientific preparation.

In order to obtain a Master's degree, other than the conditions specified in “T.C. Maltepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations”, the student takes the maximum of two courses from undergraduate program (each of them are 3 credits) with the approvals of the advisor and head of department and these credits may be counted.

Adopting the basic principles of preschool education, providing a positive effect between the field and the needs of the society and contributing to the field with providing different perspectives through researches. In addition to being knowledgeable and self-confident educators in this field, they develop to be motivated from learning and teaching, work in collaboration, share their knowledge, have communication skills and have purposes for lifelong learning.
