Maltepe University Technology and Human Relationships Application and Research Center (MA-TİN) was established with the consensus of the Senate Meeting dated 18 August 2021. Its regulation was published in the Legal Gazette dated 04 October 2021 and numbered 31618.

Rapidly developing information technologies have become an indispensable part of daily life, adding an ecological sub-techno-system to the microsystem and macrosystems around the individual (Johnson and Puplampu, 2008). Individuals' cyclical interaction with the environment in their developmental processes also includes their interaction with technological tools. The exchange also has advantages and disadvantages depending on the person's use and the structure of the digital world. Although the research examining the effect of technology on the development of the individual and the relationships has been discussed in various studies in recent years, further studies are needed. Technology and Human Relationships Application and Research Center (MA-TİN) plans to conduct further studies based on the need for advanced and systematic research.

Most of the studies carried out within Maltepe University Technology and Human Relations Application and Research Center (MA-TİN) are application-oriented. These studies focus on the measurement and reporting of application projects of lecturers from different disciplines, based on human relations and technology-human relations, and projects with valid and reliable measurement-evaluation criteria.

The center aims to research the relationships between human relations and technology in the short term; It aims to support human relations and the use of technology in the medium and long term by being aware of and without harming the individual, thus supporting children, youth, adults, and families in terms of conscious technology use, and carrying out research and application studies with undergraduate and graduate students at the center.
