The 2022 call for applications for the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) Program, which supports multi-partner international projects on water management, food systems, and agriculture-food value chains in the Mediterranean region, has been opened.
For the international project calls under PRIMA, the consortium participating in the call must include at least one partner from EU member countries and at least one partner from non-EU countries, with a total of at least three partners.
The projects to be supported under the PRIMA Program are divided into two sections:

Section 1: Project proposals received in this section will be supported with funds allocated to the PRIMA Program from the Horizon 2020 Program. Applications under Section 1 must be submitted only to PRIMA. For detailed information and international applications, please visit PRIMA Section 1.

Section 2: Project proposals in this section will be supported with funds committed by national funding agencies to the PRIMA Program. In Section 2, in addition to the joint application to PRIMA, research teams involved in the project consortiums must also apply to their own national funding agencies. For detailed information and international application conditions, please visit PRIMA Section 2. Teams from Turkey participating in the consortia will submit their national applications via TÜBİTAK UIDB PBS. The project proposals submitted from Turkey will be supported under TÜBİTAK’s 1071 Program, aimed at enhancing the capacity to benefit from international research funds and increasing participation in international R&D collaborations. It is important to carefully review the national application rules before applying, as failure to comply with the rules may result in the application being returned without evaluation.
