Maltepe University Entrepreneurship and Business Development Application and Research Center (MÜGİM) operates with the aim of supporting the development of innovative ideas, the transformation of scientific knowledge into practical applications and economic value, and the establishment of a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem within the university.
Today, universities are not only institutions that generate knowledge but also centers of innovation that transform the knowledge they produce into social and economic benefits. In line with this understanding, MÜGİM aims to bring together students, faculty members, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs on a common platform, contributing to the transformation of creative ideas into viable business models and value-creating ventures.
Our Center regards entrepreneurship not merely as the process of establishing a new business, but as a holistic approach that also encompasses innovative thinking, recognizing and seizing opportunities, problem-solving, and creating sustainable value.
Our Areas of Activity
MÜGİM aims to carry out activities in the following areas to support entrepreneurship and business development processes:

Entrepreneurship Education and Awareness: Organizing training programs, seminars, workshops, and events aimed at promoting an entrepreneurial culture.

Mentoring and Business Development: Providing guidance in the development of innovative business ideas, the creation of business models, market analysis, and the structuring of entrepreneurial ventures.

Innovation and Technology-Oriented Entrepreneurship: Supporting the transformation of academic research, technological innovations, and interdisciplinary projects into viable products, services, and business models.

University–Industry Collaboration: Developing collaborations with public institutions, private sector organizations, technoparks, stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and non-governmental organizations.

Access to Project and Funding Opportunities: Contributing to informing aspiring entrepreneurs about national and international support programs, calls for project proposals, and funding mechanisms.

Entrepreneurship Competitions and Events: Encouraging the development and visibility of innovative ideas and facilitating their connection with the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Sustainable and Social Entrepreneurship: Supporting entrepreneurial approaches that provide solutions to environmental and social challenges while also generating economic value.
