Organized by MÜKÇAM and coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Salman, the third edition of the "Developing Women's Digital Literacy Skills Training" was successfully held in collaboration with the Tuzla Municipality.
During the one-day event, 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate students from the Department of Computer Engineering (English) at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, along with graduate students from the Institute of Graduate Studies in Computer Engineering, took on the role of instructors. Our students provided foundational digital skills training to women selected by the Tuzla Municipality.
Project Objectives:
-
To enhance women's digital competencies and support their inclusion in the digital world,
-
To raise awareness about gender equality among the participating Computer Engineering students.
Project Background & Future: Initiated with students who had previously received gender equality training, this impactful project yielded highly successful results in 2023 with the Sultanbeyli Municipality and in 2024 with the Maltepe Municipality. Continuing this year with the Tuzla Municipality, we plan to sustain and expand this valuable training series in the upcoming years.
