Is there a possibility of a make-up exam?
No. Students who cannot attend final exams due to health reasons may be granted the right to a make-up exam, provided they submit a medical report explaining their reason. This request will be reviewed by the Institute's Board of Directors.
Can I use the university's accommodation facilities when I come to the university for the exam?

How are exams and evaluations conducted in graduate programs?
In distance education programs, there are two types of exams: midterm exams and final exams. A project or assignment may be given instead of a midterm exam. In both cases, the impact of the exam or project on the overall grade point average for that course cannot exceed 20%. The weight of the end-of-term final exam cannot be less than 80%.
Midterm exams will be conducted online (live), while end-of-term exams will be held at the Maltepe Başıbüyük campus on a pre-determined date (Saturday and Sunday) under the supervision of an invigilator.
Is it necessary to come to the university for distance learning programs?
For distance learning programs, there is no need to come to the university in any way other than registering and taking the end-of-term final exams.
How will the program fees be collected?
Tuition fees will be collected in cash at the time of registration or in 12 installments via credit card. Students can also pay their tuition fees with a bank loan if they wish.
Is it possible to contact the instructors teaching the program?
You can send emails or leave messages to instructors through the messaging system in the learning management system. It is also possible to have audio and video communication with instructors during live classes.
Will my diploma include the phrase 'Distance Education' when I graduate?
In accordance with the decision of the Higher Education Council, diplomas for students enrolled from the 2017-2018 Academic Year onwards will include the phrase 'Distance Education'.
Will previous week's lessons be deleted when the next week's lessons begin?
All live lesson recordings conducted during the semester are accessible through the system.

How does the process work in the programs?
In distance education programs, classes are held live in virtual classrooms between 20:00 and 23:00. Lessons are recorded and can be watched again. Midterm exams are conducted through the learning management system, while final exams are held in classrooms on campus. The instructor responsible for the course may assign projects or assignments at certain times, and students can upload their prepared documents to the learning management system. Students can access all course materials from the same system.
Can a distance learning student benefit from the same rights as other students attending regular on-campus programs (social facilities on campus, library, sports facilities, military service deferment, transcript, etc.)?
A distance learning student has all the rights of a Maltepe University student.
What level of computer knowledge is required to follow the program?
Those who can use the internet in their daily lives can easily follow the current program with basic computer skills.
Is there a passing grade for completing the semester in the non-thesis Master's program?
There is no passing grade for semesters in distance learning non-thesis Master's programs. The non-thesis Master's program consists of ten courses and a Graduation Project, totaling no less than thirty credits and 90 ECTS. The completion time for the non-thesis Master's program, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, is a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of three semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program are given, regardless of whether the student registers for each semester. A non-thesis master's degree is awarded to students who successfully complete all credit-bearing courses and the Graduation Project within the specified maximum period and achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50/4.00.
Is it mandatory to renew registration each semester?
Students are not required to renew registration during the normal study period. However, they must select courses at the beginning of each semester. They must follow the academic calendar for this.
What is the attendance requirement in the program?
There is no attendance requirement for courses in this program. Courses are conducted live.
