Special Education

The Special Education Teacher Training Department was established in 2009. The aim of our department, in line with the mission of our university, is to produce, disseminate, and utilize universally accepted knowledge in the field of individuals with special needs and their education.
The aim of the Special Education Teacher Training Program is to train teachers who can provide individual or group education to individuals requiring special education, and who can take part in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of special education and related services.
Teaching is defined as a specialized profession that undertakes the state's education, instruction, and related administrative duties. A teacher is someone who teaches specific subjects to a specific group or individual and sets an example for the learning group through their behavior.
A special education teacher is a professional who provides education to students with various mental and physical disabilities that may hinder learning.

The Special Education Teacher Training Program aims to train qualified teachers who will contribute to the education of individuals with special needs with scientific, ethical, and contemporary approaches. In our program, our students; Students acquire knowledge of the special education field, teaching methods and techniques,
individualized education program (IEP) preparation, evaluation, family education, and
implementation skills through theoretical and practical courses.
The special education teacher training program consists of field courses with high-quality content,
teaching profession courses, and general culture courses aimed at equipping teachers with intellectual skills as individuals who enlighten society. Our students transform the theoretical knowledge they learn during their undergraduate education into practice through observation,
institutional experience, teaching practice, and field experience.
