Profile of the Programme

The program consists of 6 obligatory courses (İHA 500 Concept and Kinds of Human Rights, İHA 503 The Problem of Evaluation from the Viewpoint of Human Rights, İHA 504 Ethics and Human Rights, İHA 505 Anthropological Foundations of Human Rights, İHA 559 Research Metods, İHA 569 Master’s Seminar), 2 elective courses and a thesis. In most of the courses which are conducted with the Socratic method (interactive method), the students are expected to write and present a term paper. Attendance in the courses is obligatory.  

To graduate from this program the student is expected to make research on a problem to be found by him/herself, on the ground of the competencies acquired in the courses and to prepare independently the appropriate material for this research.
