A student who is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program in the same discipline at another institution and has successfully completed at least one semester may transfer to the Master's Program at Maltepe University upon the recommendation of the department administration and with the approval of the Administrative Committee of the Graduate School of Social Sciences. The approval might also work towards exemption from a number of course requirements of the program. Students who transfer from another university must be successful in the Maltepe University English Proficiency Exam or in an equivalent English examination.

Graduates from other disciplines can be accepted to the program by completing preliminary preparation course program before taking any graduate level degree courses.   

Recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning will also be considered although rules and regulations are not yet adequately developed in Turkish Higher Education System.
