About Program

In today’s world with the international economic relations rapidly expanding, international trade and logistics have become two of the pillars of global system. Aiming at educating competent and globally minded professionals in this strategic field of study, the Department of International Trade and Logistics (English) provides its students with an exhaustive and sound undergraduate program distinguished by its multidimensional, practice-oriented and international accreditations.

Our syllabus covers, from production to consumption, every single phase of the supply chain, combining strong theoretical foundations with applied educational approach, offering students a well-integrated curriculum. Students gain competency in such diverse areas as export and import operations, customs systems, transportation and inventory management, foreign trade legislations, and logistics optimization.

Educational Approach

Accepting students based on the Turkish Mathematics (TM) score type, the program entirely offered in English helps students develop a linguistic proficiency and intercultural competency required to effectively operate in the global trade environments.

The curriculum includes comprehensive courses from such fields as Trade Law, Business Administration, International Economics, Accounting and Finance, and Marketing. By this approach interdisciplinary, students graduate not only as experts in the field but also as professionals with strategic decision-making abilities, and analytical and critical thinking skills.

Internships and the 7+1 Workplace Practice Model

The program emphasizes the combination of theory and practice to boost students’ professional competencies. To this end, students complete two compulsory internships, each of which takes 20 working days, in both international trade and sectors of logistics.

Additionally, qualified senior students may participate in the 7+1 Workplace Practice Model, having the opportunity to spend their final semester directly in a professional setting. This experience lets students gain one-on-one industry experience before graduation, improving their employment opportunities, setting up a way clearer career goals, and speeding up the process of adaptation to professional life.

International Accreditation and Quality Assurance

The department is proudly accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), confirming that its education pretty much meets international standards of quality, advanced, and practice orientation.

Furthermore, the department is qualified with the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF), compatible with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). These accreditations attest to our commitment to producing internationally qualified-globally recognized professionals.

Minor, Double Major and Erasmus Programs

Students are encouraged to improve their academic background by pursuing Double Major or Minor programs that help them build up a multidisciplinary career after they graduate.

Through bilateral agreements with leading European universities, the department also provides students with an opportunity to study abroad by the Erasmus+ Student Exchange Program.

Eligible students may have the opportunity to carry out a part of their studies at a partner university in Europe to expose to various academic cultures and new languages, gaining competitive edge in global labour markets.
