On May 13, 2020, we hosted DHMI Sabiha Gökçen Air Traffic Controller Mr. Süleyman Bektaş in our Flight Operation course between 15: 00-16: 00. Bektaş, who has worked in both Area Control and Approach Control for 17 years, talked about the difficult training process of traffic controllership. He made suggestions to students who wanted to be an Air Traffic Controller. He explained how the airplanes were controlled in the sky, the history of the profession, and its current position. He explained aircraft separation minima, near-miss position, and stages of air traffic.
