In Maltepe University Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER), Turkish is taught to foreigners within the scope of a five-level education program at A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels.
Registration and Course Requirements
Application
1. Registration to Maltepe TÖMER is made by the student personally.
2. Before registration, the student has to take the placement test. This exam is free of charge.
3. Courses are held in classes with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 15 students.
4. Cancellation of registration , freezing registration process or class changes must be done up to three days before the start of the course at the latest.
5. Cancellation, refund and freezing queries made after the start of the course will be considered invalid.
6. Class changes must be done in the first week of the course.
7. A course hour takes 50 minutes, and then a 10-minute-break follow.
8. "Final Exam (End of level exam)" is held on the last day of the course.
9. Students who are successful in the final exam will be entitled to receive certificate.
10. A student who fails in a single skill in the exam enters the single course exam, but fails at least two skills, is deemed to have failed the entire exam.
11. There is a compulsory attendance for the courses in 80% rate. A student who exceeds the absenteeism rate cannot take the final exam.
12. The course trainee who has registered for the courses at Maltepe TÖMER is deemed to have accepted all the applications and conditions.
Due to Covid-19 Pandemic conditions, courses at Tömer are conducted as distance education. Application and participation conditions for distance education contain the articles written above. Distance Education courses and exams are conducted over Maltepe University blackboard system.

- Passport
- 1 photo
- Registration form (to be given by the Institution)
- Receipt of payment
* At the first stage;
- Those who enter our country with a tourist visa must first obtain an ACCEPTANCE (Acceptance Certificate) from Maltepe University TÖMER for Turkish course registration.
- ACCEPTANCE (Acceptance Certificate) will be given after final registration.
- After receiving the ACCEPTANCE (Acceptance certificate) from Maltepe TÖMER, the students can apply to the Turkish Republic Consulate in his/her country in order to get "EDUCATION VISA- TURKISH LANGUAGE LEARNING VISA".
* For those who enter our country with a tourist visa, a student visa is no longer required for Turkish course registration at TÖMER.
* Students who want to get their education visa voluntarily can obtain "EDUCATION VISA" by applying to the Turkish Embassies in their country after receiving ACCEPTANCE (Acceptance Certificate) from Maltepe University TÖMER for a fee
(ACCEPTANCE fee is "1.800 TL’dır. This fee will be deducted from the tuition fee when the training starts.)
