International Trade and Logistics (EN)

In today's world, international trade is one of the most important topics both for economies and businesses. With globalization, the importance of international trade is increasing every day. With the developments in technology and increasing competition, customers want to provide their products at the right time, in the right place, in the right quantity, in good quality and at an affordable price. In this respect, logistics activities also play an important role in the increase and development of international trade.

Logistics refers to the continuing activities and processes starting from the raw material stage of the products until they reach to the customer. Logistics activities includes transportation, storage, packaging and value-added services, inspection, surveillance and expertise, customs, insurance, order and stock management activities. In this context, it is of great importance that international trade and logistics are treated with a complementary approach. Therefore, the need for graduates who have comprehensive knowledge of both international trade and logistics management has increased.

In the Department of International Trade and Logistics Management (English), depending on the needs of the sector it is aimed to educate graduates who have a strong knowledge of international trade and a good knowledge of the logistics processes and who speak English. In the direction of this aim, our curriculum has been designed with theoretical knowledge and practicum with the programme outcomes and course contents created with the opinions of sector professionals. There are two compulsory internships in the Department of International Trade and Logistics Management (English) aiming that our students observe sectorial practices by associating theoretical and practical knowledge. Our successful students can complete their last semester by working full time in the internship workplaces within the scope of industrial practice course. With this application, it is aimed to facilitate students' smooth transition to business life.
