1. As part of the protocol signed with the Turkish Foundation for Spastic Children, a group of students from the special education department have begun their teaching practice at the Metin Sabancı School for Spastic Children.
2. On Saturday, October 19, 2019, Faculty of Education research assistants Derya Çıkılı SOYLU and Fatih Kıvanç ERDOĞAN participated in a course titled "The Flow and Components of Early Intervention," organized by the Turkish Foundation for Spastic Children with American and Portuguese instructors. The course was fee-based, and they were accepted as scholarship recipients by the Foundation.
3. As part of "October 6th Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day," Vanilla Media conducted an interview with Dr. Handan DOĞAN and Dr. Deniz Dağseven EMECEN, which was then released to the press. Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Education participated in the event by wearing green clothing and giving short speeches highlighting the importance of the day.
4. Dr. Handan DOĞAN, Assistant Professor, has been invited to a seminar titled "Special Education for Children with Cerebral Palsy," to be held on October 26, 2019, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Conference Hall, for special education teachers, classroom teachers, and families working under the Rize Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
