Dean's Message

Dear Students,

Maltepe University, established in 1997, is one of Türkiye’s pioneering foundation universities. With a distinguished legacy spanning 28 years, the Maltepe University Faculty of Law continues to cultivate highly qualified jurists recognized both nationally and internationally.

In accordance with this mission, our Faculty of Law students are rigorously equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical application in the fundamental disciplines offered within national legal systems. These include core areas such as Constitutional Law, Law of Obligations, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Inheritance Law, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, Procedural Law, and Citizenship Law. Concurrently, students are afforded the opportunity to prepare for the future and shape their careers by engaging with legal fields structured around the demands of the contemporary world. These specialized areas include, but are not limited to, International Law, International Criminal Law, International Economic Law, International Trade Law, International Arbitration Law, International Investment Law, European Union Law, Energy Law, and Information Technology (IT) Law.

Our Faculty, which is fundamentally committed to integrating theory with practice, reinforces the practical competencies of our students through participation in national and international Moot Court Competitions. In this regard, the regular participation of our students since 2014 in competitions both in Turkey and abroad—particularly in the fields of International Law and International Criminal Law held in The Hague, Netherlands—and the high caliber of their performances continue to be a significant source of pride for us and our nation.

I extend my best wishes for the Maltepe University Faculty of Law—together with its academically renowned and recognised faculty members, its esteemed alumni, and its current students—to achieve many more significant accomplishments.
