Double Major or Minor programs are opened in our university for the students who are interested in other departments and who want to attend the courses of these departments while they are studying in their departments. Double Major and Minor programs allow students to take courses from other departments which are close to their fields and to receive diplomas or certificates if they complete the program successfully. Students who enrolled in these programs must complete the courses in their departments as well as the courses in the double Major or Minor departments. In this respect, students are required to complete these programs in a reasonable time, and their curricula are mutually agreed between departments   which have common courses and are close to each other.

In order to complete the Double Major or Minor program, the student is required to graduate from major program first of all. After graduating from major program, our graduate who successfully completed the Double Major program is given a separate diploma for both departments.

In the minor program, the students follow the courses determined by the related department in order to gain knowledge in a different field in addition to their major, or to acquire specialization. At the End of the program students will receive certificate instead of diploma.

Second and third year students can apply to Double Major and Minor programs. Senior students and students who have not completed their first year cannot apply. While two different Double Major programs cannot be continued at the same time, it is possible to continue a Double Major and a Minor program at the same time. In order to apply for Double Major programs, the student must have an average score of 3.00 and an average of 2.50 to apply to Minor programs. In addition, candidates should be ranked in the first 20% of their grades in terms of their grade point average.

The information of between which departments double major and minor programs can be made as well as application dates and quotas are announced on this page during application periods. Candidates make their applications to our Presidency on the dates specified and the applications are evaluated by the Faculty Administrative Board according to the principles and principles determined by the Higher Education Council.
