Internship Information

At the end of the 4th and 6th semesters, the students of the Civil Engineering Department are required to do the internship for a total of 40 working days.

Work-site Internship: 20 Work Days (at the end of the 4th semester)

Office Internship: 20 Work Days (at the end of the 6th semester)

A. Guidelines

The principles and application of this internship are determined by the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Internship Directive and Civil Engineering Internship Directive, which are based on Maltepe University Undergraduate regulations. It is helpful to read both of these guidelines before starting your internship.

B. Internship Application Procedures

• Arrange the companies you will apply for internship.
• Fill out the required places in the Internship Application Cover Letter / Staj Başvuru Ön Yazısı (upon the company request) and the Compulsory Internship form / Zorunlu Staj Formu. Paste your photo on the Compulsory Internship form.
• Have the Internship Application Cover Letter Form (upon the company request) approved by the Head of Department and the Compulsory Internship form to the Department Internship Supervisor.
• Make your application with these two documents.

C. Actions to Be Taken Before Starting Internship

• Once your internship application is accepted, the Mandatory Internship Form approved by the company and the Internship Commitment Form / Stajyer Taahütnamesi should be delivered to the Faculty Secretariat and your SGK procedures (for whom make the internship in Turkey) are started.
• The Internship Acceptance Letter form / Staj Kabul Ön Yazısı Formu and the Internship Evaluation Form /Staj Değerlendirme Formu are filled in and photos are affixed and are delivered to the Head of the Department and Internship Supervisors.
• The Internship Certificate, Internship Acceptance Letter and Internship Evaluation Form should be delivered to the company where the internship will be held.

D. Internship Report
