Our MUKKAM Advisory Board member, Prof. Dr. Engin Ulukaya, graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and subsequently completed his specialization in Medical Biochemistry at Uludağ University. He earned his PhD from the School of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Leeds (UK). He conducts research in the fields of basic cancer research, cell death, cancer drug development, and personalized oncology. In addition to serving as President of the Molecular Cancer Research Association (MOKAD), he is a Council Member of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and a full member of the EORTC Pathobiology subgroup. In 2003, he received the “Promising Laboratory Physician” award and was honored with the WASPALM Medal at the World Association of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (WASPALM) Congress held in South Korea. He has also received 32 awards in various categories, including three international awards.
