SOILLESS FARMING UNITS

Share

We would like to inform you about the Soilless Agricultural Units, a project that MAU is currently working on. Our project is aimed at developing a soilless agriculture unit independent of environmental conditions by using high technology in content. Due to increasing urbanization and global warming, arable land is decreasing day by day. However, natural disasters, we can add to this, cause people to stay where they are connected for a long time. Under these conditions, access to the necessary vegetables and fruits is restricted. It is very important to grow plants with the possibilities offered by technology, without having to know anything about agriculture in individuals' homes by considering the sustainability of agriculture in an environmentalist understanding. With this awareness, the product called a lantern has an air conditioning system that can provide the climate needed by the plant, LED lighting that can spread the spectrum of sunlight that is beneficial for the plant, and a system that can save water with the aeroponic irrigation system. Thanks to the specially designed artificial soil where the plants can hold on to the soil, the environment where the plant roots can hold have been designed. The unit has the feature of isolating itself from the external environment and providing the desired climatic conditions within itself. The image of the LYKTA GREENBOX module, which is widely used for soilless agriculture, is given below. In this sense, we hope that it will become more widespread today as an extremely efficient and suitable production system in the context of limited resources such as soil, labor, and water, and we hope that soilless agriculture studies will shed light on sustainable futures.
