Dear Students,

Welcome to Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine. As the final link of Marmara Educational Institutions, Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine entered operation in 1997. It is the first foundation university faculty of medicine in Istanbul to operate its own hospital. Adopting the approach of "free in thought, contemporary in education, universal in science," our main vision has been to be a leading medical faculty in our country and around the world in the field of health, with high competitiveness on a national and international scale.

We are proud to teach you the art of medicine through our dedicated teaching staff, internationally accredited hospital, laboratories, and virtual clinics. During your education, you will not only learn information, but also learn to access and interpret information. Our valued students are the most important stakeholders with whom we will collaborate as team members in our faculty's research, development, and community service activities. We encourage you to participate in national and international programmes to expand your knowledge and skills. We are pleased to provide you with ecosystems in which you can express yourself through the international student congresses we have organised at our own university for many years.

Medicine is not only a science, but also an art that has humans at its center. We will teach you this art with a discipline determined and constantly updated in a master-apprentice relationship. Your self-esteem will rise, your personality will mature, and you will grow stronger as you realise that you have become individuals who communicate effectively, empathise, internalise ethical values, and possess skills. You will grow into wise individuals who are loved, trusted, and respected by those around you. We will witness your transformation, be happy, and continue to improve ourselves in order to do better.
