Dear Young People!

“One language is one person, two languages are two people,” is a beautiful Turkish proverb that emphasizes the importance of language learning. Familiarizing yourself with Turkish, one of the most deeply rooted languages in world history, will allow you to explore the vastness of the world and access the written works of numerous faiths, cultures, and civilizations. Through Turkish language instruction, you will gain the ability to communicate in a common language with over 250 million people.

Maltepe University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (MaltepeTÖMER) will connect you with the Turkish language skills you need and interest, and in addition to learning the language, you will have the opportunity to participate in scientific activities.

The faculty members at Maltepe TÖMER are at least bilingual experts who have graduated from university departments of language, literature, philology, and language teaching, and who have established academic careers. Language instruction is provided at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. With the certificates you receive at the end of the Turkish language training offered in our center's Turkish preparatory courses and other programs, you will have the opportunity to apply for associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs at our university and other educational institutions.

Once the appropriate number of groups is formed, we plan to offer courses in Old Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, and Modern Turkish. Our center is proud to contribute to world peace through the teaching of Turkish. We organize cultural events and provide high-quality education with the support of our university, a distinguished institution among the world's leading educational institutions, where thousands of people with diverse cultures and values have been receiving education at an international level for years.

I wholeheartedly congratulate all our students and trainees who have had the opportunity to learn the language of the great Turkish poet Yunus Emre, which transcends centuries and embraces all of humanity. In Yunus's own words, I say:

"Come, let's get to know each other, let's make things easy,

Let's love and be loved. The world will be left to no one."

With love and respect...
