Specific Admission Requirements

It is essential for the candidates of PhD programs:

  • To hold a diploma of an undergraduate program or a master program,
  • The  candidates with a master program diploma  are required o have achieved a minimum score of  55 on the ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) or an equivalent score on an internationally accredited exam such as GMAT (450) or GRE (610 on  the “quantitative” part)
  • The candidates with a master program diploma are required to have a score of at least 55 on ÜDS ( Inter-University Foreign Language Exam ) in one of the three languages English, French or German (or to have an equivalent score on an internationally accredited exam in one of the above listed languages)
  • The candidates with an undergraduate program diploma are required to have a minimum score of  70 on the ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) or an equivalent score on an internationally accredited exam such as GMAT (500) or GRE (685 on  the “quantitative” part)
  • The candidates with an undergraduate program diploma are required to have a score of at least 70 on ÜDS ( Inter-University Foreign Language Exam ) in one of the three languages English, French or German (or to have an equivalent score on an internationally accredited exam in one of the above listed languages),
  • To be successful in the interview
  • To have a reference letter, a statement of purpose  showing the reasons for applying for the PhD program and competence in written and oral Turkish and/or foreign language skills
  • Exchange student applications are to be done in accordance with the admission requirements of the agreement signed between Maltepe University and the partner university.
  • Special students can be registered to the courses approved by head of the related department.
